  6. 1. Installation process.
  7. ------------------------

  9.    When you read this file, you have already unpacked the SMTHLP.ZIP
  10.    file to a new subdirectory - hope so.
  11.  
  12.    Now there are various files:
  13.  
  14.    SMTHELP.DOT    - must be copied to the directory where your Word 6 
  15.                   templates are. For example "C:\WORD6\TEMPLATE"
  16.  
  17.    SMTHELP.HLP  - must be copied into your windows directory. This
  18.                   file contains further informations about the usage
  19.                   of SmartHelP.
  20.  
  21.  
  22.    The rest of the files are a part of the DEMO-example and can stay
  23.    in this directory.

  26.    DEMO.DOC    - A Word 6.0 document
  27.    DEMO.MAK    - A Visual Basic 3.0 project file

  33. 2. Getting Started

  36.    Run Microsoft Word 6.0.
  37.    Choose 'Open' from the 'File'-menu.
  38.    Load the DEMO.DOC file.

  41.    choose the 'Getting Started' topic.

  47.    This product was designed for all those, who want to have a 
  48.    simple but useful help in their applications.
  49.    If you are planning to built an interactive-multimedia-macro-
  50.    power-user-confusion help, SmartHelP is really not the right 
  51.    thing for you. 
  52.    But if you say, ╗I┤ve got an pretty good application and I want 
  53.    to provide help to my users when they press the <F1> key ... ½; 
  54.    if you do not want spend weeks on it and if you want to write 
  55.    your manual and your help at the same time, maybe SmartHelP is
